This notice explains how personal data is processed when you use this website, make an enquiry or booking, and stay at Beach Paradise.

Enquiries and bookings

We use the names, contact details, travel dates, number of guests and messages you provide to answer your enquiry and arrange and administer your stay. Required information is used to take steps towards a booking and fulfil the contract; additional information is voluntary. We cannot process a booking without the necessary information. Please do not send identity documents or credit-card copies through the contact form.

Website and booking system

The website is provided using Smoobu and Duda. Smoobu provides the embedded booking function and availability calendars. Technical connection data, including IP address, browser information and time of access, and booking details you enter are transmitted to the relevant services. Consent management with Cookiebot

Cookiebot CMP, provided by Usercentrics A/S, manages your cookie choices. It processes the necessary technical information and records your choice and evidence of consent. Google Analytics loads only after you consent to the Statistics category. You can reject optional cookies and change or withdraw consent at any time through Cookie settings. Google services and cookies

The website includes Google Analytics for statistical analysis of page visits. The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to protect against automated or abusive submissions. These services may process technical device and usage data and use cookies. Google's privacy policy explains its processing, possible international transfers and available controls. External map, photo and social-media links lead to the respective providers, whose privacy notices apply on their sites.

Cookies and similar technologies support technical functions and may be used for usage analysis. You can control or delete cookies in your browser, which may restrict some functions. Visiting the website or reading this notice does not replace consent where consent is legally required.

Embedded map

The location map uses Mapbox with OpenStreetMap mapping data. Displaying the map connects your browser to Mapbox and transmits your IP address and technical information needed to provide the map. See the Mapbox privacy policy.

Google My Maps

The Explore page and property location initially display a map preview hosted on our own website. The interactive Google My Maps map loads only when you click “Load Google map”. Your browser then connects to Google; your IP address and technical browser information may be transmitted to Google. The map may use cookies or similar technologies. You can also open the map directly on Google using the separate link. This interactive Google map is not loaded without your click. See Google’s privacy policy for further information. Recipients, international processing and retention

Information needed to handle enquiries and bookings is processed by the host and the website, booking and communication services used for these purposes. Your stay takes place in South Africa; service providers may also process data in other countries. Each provider's privacy notice explains its processing locations and safeguards.

Retention depends on the purpose: handling your enquiry, organising and accounting for your stay, applicable statutory retention requirements and periods needed to resolve claims. There is therefore no single retention period for all data. Please contact us for information about your specific data or to request deletion.

Cameras at the holiday home

Cameras are located outdoors, in the garage and in the living room. They provide live images only. No audio is captured, and images and videos are not stored locally or externally. There are therefore no stored camera recordings and no recording retention period. The cameras can be switched off on request. Please contact us before booking or on arrival to arrange this.

Your rights

Depending on the applicable data protection law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability, and object to processing. You may withdraw consent for future processing. Statutory retention obligations may prevent immediate deletion. Contact the email address above to exercise your rights. You may also complain to a competent supervisory authority, such as the CNPD in Luxembourg or the Information Regulator in South Africa.
